I am trying, in vein, to find firmware update 3.06 for the PSR 9000 Pro. The one listed on Yamaha's UK website is for the PSR 9000. It’s the mother of all PSR keyboards! Yamaha has really outdone themselves with the new PSR-9000.In fact, this super sophisticated music making machine transcends the PSR concept and bridges over to a fully professional workstation with all the trimmings.
USB 2.0 High Speed ! With the USB (Universal Serial Bus Interface) by musitronics it is possible to make a direct data comunication between your PC and the Hard Disk drive of your Yamaha PSR 9000/9000Pro Keyboard.
Backround
Each modern PC has an USB Interface today, so it is the best way to use this fast serial Interface to exchange data between your Computer and your Keyboard.
So it is easy now to make a backup of the keyboards hard disk drive. Just burn directly a CD-ROM image of your keyboard's harddisk. Also it is very easy now to manage the contents of your keyboard's hard drive from a computer.
You can exchange Data directly between two or more Keyboard Hard Disk Drives via PC. Or you can download MIDI-Files or Styles from the Internet to your Keyboard Hard Disk directly.
Your PC has to run under Windows XP, Windows 98/98SE, Windows ME or Windows 2000 or MAC OSX or OS9.2.
How it works
After installation of the added drivers the hard disk of the keyboard will be seen as an additional drive letter on your computer. You can also edit Midi files, Styles or Samples directly on the hard disk of your keyboard.
To see how the contents of your 9000 hardisk will be shown on your monitor, just click the picture below!
The Hardware
The USB Interface board has the size of a 2,5´´ hard disk drive and will be installed between the hard disk and the keyboard's hard disk connector.

203 Preset Styles
Introduced in the summer of 2003, the PSR2100/11000 models represented an upgrade of the PSR2000/1000 line. The new models, particularly the 2100, introduced some of the new 'Sweet', 'Live',and 'Cool' voices from the Tyros. They had double the WAV ROM of the earlier models allowing additional realism in the voices and there were a few new styles and voices. But the basic style set was almost identical to that of the earlier models. Again, the press release highlighted the strong points of these new models, but hardly mentioned the preset styles.
The original PSR2100 styles are provided in the table below. We also have quite a few styles that have been converted and tuned for use on the PSR-2100. You'll find them further down on this page. In addition, many of the conversions from other manufacturer keyboards (Other Kbds), which were tuned for the PSR2000, will sound just fine on the 2100/1100 keyboards.
368 Onacimus Sayahan Conversions for PSR2100
(Aug 2007) I made these collections of styles from the PSR9000, 9000Pro, PSR2100, PSR1500 and CVP210 for the benifit of PSR2100 owners. I thoroughly checked the 21k styles and selected various styles with a similar from the above models, which have no Mega Voices. I selected many styles from PSR 9000 and 9000Pro that are not in the 21k and also slightly different from the 21k styles. I've collected all new CVP 210 additional styles and also the new PSR1500 styles. In addition to that, I've added the 740 floppy styles that have four variations and also Break Fill in. I copied the Intros and Endings B to C and filled the missed section (B) from PSR8000. I identify the 'source' of these as '740or8000.'
I brought all of these together in one large collection. I made voice changes in tracks as well as in OTS to stantard panel voices acording to the availablity of PSR-2100 voices. I also made volume adjustments as needed. Very interestingly, many styles appear as 'Session' and 'Piano Compo' as in CVP and PSR-1500. Finally, I arranged them into 10 categories (BassCHold and Metronone styles were put in the Ballroom category).

More Style Conversions for the PSR2100PSR9000 Styles
I started working on converting these styles for use with the PSR-2100. These conversions will also work on the PSR-2000 although you may need to reset some of the OTS voices. The converted styles all have one touch settings included and have accompaniment volumes adjusted to work better on the PSR2K models. In some cases, the actual accompaniment voices and the default tempo may have also been changed. The default tempo is shown in the style name. By the way, I normally play these styles with the style volume set to 90. If you'd like the accompaniment a bit louder, simply increase this value. (I had hoped to do more conversions, but keeping up this site has taken away time to tune styles. Fortunately, others have been stepping in to help.)

Tyros Styles
The PSR-2100 has many more voices in common with the Tyros than does the PSR-2000. As a result, the OTS settings could, in many cases, remain as they were on the Tyros. Not in all cases, of course, since the Tyros has many more panel voices the the 2100. The accompaniment utilizing Mega voices still had to be removed and alternative bass and guitar voices used. All the styles in each category below are stored in a single 'ZIP' file. To use the styles, download this file, unzip it to extract the styles, and then copy these to a floppy disk for use in your PSR-2100. You will find that all the category styles fit on a single floppy disk (that is why the Swing & Jazz category is divided into two parts.)
Tyros2 Styles
(Oct 2011) Cloyd D'Mello did these conversionsof the Tyros2 styles adjusting them to run on the PSR-2100. These were actually done in 2006, but I noticed that they were no longer on the page, so I have added them.
Tyros3 Styles
(Apr 2009) Brian Miles has converted a number of Tyros3 styles for a friend who has a PSR2100 and also generously sent them into the PSR Tutorial. These should also play well on other PSR keyboards.
PA80 Styles
(Apr 2009) Brian Miles has converted a number of PA80 styles for a friend who has a PSR2100 and also generously sent them into the PSR Tutorial. These should also play well on other PSR keyboards.
